OUR HISTORY

In August 2006, a new team got together to discuss a new business. When deciding to name the business, the group wrote down the message that they wanted to convey about why they started Balance! They wanted you to know that they:

  • Had reached a time in their life where they wanted to do something different;
  • Felt that there was something missing in their usual jobs and lives;
  • Are a group of people who want balance in their own lives, and don't want to be the traditional 'corporate' business;
  • Are community leaders who love working together;
  • Intend to provide a caring and reliable team for team members including practitioners;
  • Want to provide back-end support for professionals;
  • Want to use the experience that they have gained in their lives and put it back into the community; and
  • Will ensure that the business creates a relationship with every person.

Balance! believes that many clients and practitioners share the view that a holistic preventative approach to healthcare is more likely to identify and treat underlying causes of ill health and promote well being. This applies to children as well as adults, and all three elements of the business reflect a health and wellness message.
